WHAT IS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is not just a martial art; it’s a powerful way to boost your confidence and mental resilience while improving your physical fitness. With a focus on technique, BJJ enhances coordination, balance, and strength.
BJJ is a grappling-based sport where competitors are predominantly on the ground and use techniques of leverage and angles to force an opponent into submission. Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling holds and wrestling for control, unlike other martial arts that focus on kicking and striking. Because achieving submission over an opponent is easier when performed on the ground, a Jiu-Jitsu fighter must learn how to skillfully take a standing opponent to the ground.

OUR CLASSES
At Ibuki Martial Arts Center, we offer two different classes to suit every age and ability level.
Two age groups:
Jr. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Ages 5-12: a class best for the youngest Jiu-Jitsu athletes.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Ages 13+: suitable for all ability levels.
